“Our family garden was very overgrown and 'tired' when we called Isobel for ideas and inspiration. We certainly got lots of both! She listened very carefully to our brief and provided us with some great plans and ideas. She was very flexible and happy to adapt things, but had a clear vision of what the garden should look like, which was exactly what we needed.
The plans, particularly the planting plan and calendar were very detailed and clear. Our builder commented on how easy they were to read and how accurate they were- praise indeed from a builder! Isobel was keen to monitor costs and kept to budget, always informing us and giving us alternative options if there were extras needed. She worked extremely well with our builder, managing the project and keeping to deadlines.
We are delighted with the finished result - the planting plan is coming beautifully to life and I know that we will now be spending much more time in our lovely garden!”

“Isobel has helped me in realising a small modern space into a garden filled with perennials and shrubs providing a sanctuary away from the busy demands of day to day life.
Our lives were just about to change when I met Isobel due to my husband being diagnosed with cancer requiring radical surgery to help us beat the disease. I wanted to gift my husband with a garden that would be peaceful for him to recover in following his treatment and grow with us in the future.
Isobel listened to my design ideas and the result is stunning with pleached hornbeams framing the back fence, drawing the line of sight to our garden. I can't wait to enjoy every season with my husband.”

2I have a very small garden and honestly didn't think much could be done with it. Isobel managed to design the most incredible space and it looks absolutely fantastic. I cannot wait to see it throughout the seasons and utilise every inch of it. We even managed to incorporate a potting shed within the garden as well as a bit of lawn, gorgeous boarders and a seating area that will have the sun in the summer evenings. It is truly a joy to look at now and I just had no idea it would turn out as beautiful as it did.2
J Brewin, The Barge Inn Community Project, Honeystreet, May 2011
"We employed Isobel to produce a comprehensive interior design study for the sensitive updating of the Barge Inn at Honeystreet, a 200-year old canal side pub. It was essential that the long established eclectic mix of customers and products was not altered fundamentally, and yet the pub had to be 'updated' to be fit for purpose for the next fifty years.
Included in her brief was the whole gamut of interior design, to include a new bar and back fitting, wall and ceiling decorations, advice on new oak flooring, all new furniture and upholstery, and a completely new lighting effect. All this had to be achieved within a very tight budget, and an extremely tight timescale with a non-negotiable end date. At the same time, major building work was taking place within the same area in which she was involved. Arguably, a nightmare situation.
Isobel achieved all the objectives she was set, and liaised constantly with both the builders, the architect, the project manager, and us - the client. Not only did she produce a result that has been acclaimed both locally and nationally, but also after the immensely pressured three months or so we all ended up still on the best of terms. We could not have asked for a more innovative and competent designer, who met every challenge and unexpected enforced change of direction with a tremendous 'can do' attitude. Both we, and the local community, owe her a vote of thanks."
